Here you can see a heritage door that has been upgraded using our HW coating system for timber doors. 

This project uses our HW Coating system to upgrade these heritage doors. This door was upgraded to FD30 through a series of coatings and the use  of our intumescent veneers  to maintain an authentic timber finish.

This process consists of 1 coat of HWAP/WB, the primer, 1-2 coats of HW01 and 1 coat of HW04 top coat. These coatings if applied correctly at the right thickness will provide the door with a protective and durable finish that will protect against the spread of fire for the rating specified.

The coating used on our intumescent veneers was the HW04/S coating to provide a clean finish with timber on the veneers.

Once the intumescent coats above are applied it leaves the customer free to apply their decorative top coat.
